After scheduling your first massage, there might be some questions
that pop into your head. Listed below are several questions or concerns you might have regarding your first massage
experience. If there are other questions that are not addressed below, please feel free to contact me at Solacehealing@yahoo.com
Q: What Can I Expect At My First Appointment?
A: In order for me to prepare for your first massage session,
it helps greatly to know some short medical history. For that reason, you will be asked to fill out
a short medical history form at your first session. If this is an accident case, you will also be asked to
fill out additional paperwork so please be prepared and patient during this process. Your cooperation is greatly
appreciated!
Q: Will I Feel Pain During My Massage?
A: Feeling pain during your massage means that's where it
needs work. The comfort level of pressure being applied will always be asked, however please feel free
to speak up if you feel discomfort. Drinking plenty of water after the massage to release toxins from your muscles and
stretching will greatly improve any discomfort you feel afterwards.
Q: What
Can I Do To Get the Most From My Massage Session?
A: The best way to receive the full benefit of your massage is to first relax
and be comfortable. If you have a special need or request during your massage, please let me know beforehand and
I will try to accomodate those needs. In order to relax, remember to take deep breaths and let your body melt onto the
table. Allow me to move your head, arms, legs and have yourself just focus on relaxing.
Q: How Much Do I Need To Disrobe?
A: A massage is most effective if most of the clients clothing is removed
since this allows access to the tissue and muscles that need to be worked on. The client is always covered by a sheet
and the only part exposed is the area being worked on at the moment. If you are not comfortable with disrobing, other
methods can be used so please let me know and I will accomodate your needs.
